Sun Hairuo
孙海若

Research Assistant
Sun Hairuo is a Research Assistant at the [S]Equilibrium Lab in the School of Architecture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Southeast University. Her academic background and research interests encompass computational form-finding informed by structural performance, robotic fabrication employing fiber reinforcement for clay-based 3D printing structures, and immersive technologies (VR/AR) for structural education.

Hairuo has professional experience as an Architectural Designer at AECOM’s New York office, where she practiced in building remodels and renovation. In addition, she has teaching experience in architectural design and interaction design, contributing to interdisciplinary and technology-driven design research.
