Prof. Shuaizhong Wang Invited to Speak at the TEDxShenzhen2025 on Material Reuse and Circularity

Date: 07.12.2025

Location: Shenzhen, China
What if construction waste were not an ending, but a beginning? In his talk, Prof. Wang explores how discarded building materials can re‑emerge as valuable architectural resources. He argues that the true challenge of circular construction is not technological, but cultural, changing how we perceive wastes. By reframing demolition debris as urban mining, his work points toward a future where building is less about constant replacement and more about coexisting with what already exists. Circular construction, he suggests, is an emerging mindset that reshapes cities by renewing relationships between materials, memory, and time.
